Event Details
In 2020-21, Scotland launched its “Strategy for Space in Scotland”.
3 years on, our panel will look at some of the on-going issues to promote Scotland as one of the leading space nations and achieve its lofty goals.
Our panellists will consider these from their own but very different perspectives – academia, infrastructure and content/applications, answering questions such as:
- How has the landscape in Scotland changed?
- How are emerging technologies creating new opportunities?
- How can Scotland be competitive in a global market?
- Has the government delivered on its commitments, for example investments in education, innovation, attracting foreign direct investment?
Chair of the panel: Dr. Hina Khan, Executive Director, Space Scotland

- Prof. Iain Woodhouse - Personal Chair in Applied Earth Observation, School of Geosciences, Edinburgh University
- Luis Gomes - CEO, AAC Clyde Space
- Hazel Jeffrey - Head of Systems and Services Development, Craft Prospect
